I just did a review of the Smoker's Pride Vanilla, and one thing that this blend has in common with the vanilla is that it has something "rough" about it. Yep! It takes some work to keep it lit for some reason. "It's just darkened with steam but there's enough sugar naturally in the leaf that it darkens significantly to a deep brown/black. The bite that comes out of the pipe is southing. After several weeks at sea, the tobacco was cut into slices and smoked, and to the astonishment of his fellow sailors, the flavor had significantly improved; the smoke was milder, sweeter, and provided a more pleasing aroma.
